How to Clean a Top Loader Washing Machine

You may be wondering how to clean a top Loader washing machine. There are several steps you can take to maintain the cleanliness of your top-loading washing machine.

Before starting the cleaning process, make sure to empty the washing machine.

Steps To Cleaning Your Top Load Washer

Mix two cups of water with one cup of vinegar.

Dip the cloth in the mixture

Then scrub it well

Repeat the same process with the lid. The vinegar will help kill bacteria as well. This step is also good for sanitizing dispensers.

After the cycle has finished, rinse it with clean water and allow to dry. Repeat this process as often as necessary to prevent mold growth.

When it comes to adding bleach to the washing machine, you should know that too much of it can harm your septic system. Because septic systems use bacteria to break down solids, excessive amounts of bleach can harm them.

However, if you are really determined to use bleach on your top loader washing machine, you can add two cups of bleach to the liquid detergent tray and the wash drum. When the detergent has been added, run a conventional cleaning cycle.

Another way to clean a top Loader washing machine is to use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. This mixture will break down stubborn dirt and soften clothing. You should allow the solution to sit in the drum for an hour before removing the lid.

The detergent dispenser panel can be removed to clean the dispenser. If this method does not work for you, use a cleaning gel like Vim Dishwash Gel.
