Using Etch Cream On Glass DIY

Isn't it frustrating that you can never find the materials you need whenever you're starting to do a project?

I was looking for some etching cream as I wanted to try my hand at making a beer mug for my husband with our children's names and birthdays.

Unfortunately, the DIY Gods must Have been against me because I could not find any store that carried the etching cream, and I didn't have time to order it from Amazon. So it was a last-minute project, and I didn't prepare properly.

Here is a step-by-step video

You - so spray paint?
Me: yes! I have spray paint and all variations, and I just knew that this would be the best idea since I already had it on hand, and it gave the same look as using etching cream.

You: can you seal it?
Me: of course! I decided to use dishwasher-safe Modge Podge to help make sure my design stay put. It has been one year so far, and nothing has come off.

Here are some tips

I did not use a glass that was of equal size. This is because some sections curved in, and working with curves is very hard.

So I would recommend not using a glass-like this; however, if you choose to, you would just need to make sure you follow the steps that I'm doing in my video; she when sure you get the look you want.
